2025
Focus on Measurement by Light
From 01.-03. In April 2025, the “Measurement by Light” conference will take place again at TU Delft. In addition to the top-class program, Fibotec Fiberoptics is presenting itself as a silver sponsor of the event at the parallel industrial exhibition. Fibotec is once again traveling to the Netherlands twice within six months. Already in November '24 they had a stand at the Precision Fair, 's Hertogenbosch*.
The Netherlands is traditionally a leading high-tech location in both science and industry, and optical measurement methods play an important role in this. In addition, the Netherlands and Germany are not only in this time of change in international supply chains, but have also long been closely intertwined economic partners with flows of goods in both directions.
Fibotec develops and produces electronic, opto-electronic and fiber optic assemblies and system hardware for customers who produce measurement systems that are used in a wide variety of markets. Biotechnology and medical technology, automation, contactless optical measuring instruments, LIDAR and OTDR, as well as distributed fiber sensors represent these applications.
* Participation in the trade fair was supported by the State of Thuringia and co-financed by funds from the European Union as part of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

High-tech in the Netherlands
Fibotec is on the road in the Netherlands twice within half a year. After a booth at Precision Fair, ´s Hertogenbosch*, in November 2022, the company will be present as part of a workshop and as a participant in the industrial exhibition during the "Measuring by Light" conference at TU Delft. Fibotec is Silver Sponsor of the International Meeting on Optical Metrology and Industrial Applications at the end of March 2023.

On (foreign trade) course
The participants of a very small, 3-day delegation trip from Thuringia in Switzerland were anything but “inactive”: Organized by LEG Thuringia and the Chamber of Commerce Switzerland-Germany, Fibotec Fiberoptics was able to make interesting new contacts with companies in Switzerland in very targeted individual discussions - and could intensify existing customer relations.
This very targeted and individual part of the trip was rounded off by a joint supporting program, which included discussions at the Paul Scherrer Institute and a detailed tour of the neutron source (image: conversion of an experiment) and the synchrotron.
The intensification of the relationship to markets such as Switzerland, the Netherlands, Israel or China, which Fibotec has carried out in the past 12 months, is part of a changed strategy and reaction to the changed framework conditions in the global economy. In the course of this, new exhibition locations were tested and business trips for increased initial contacts were undertaken.
The trip was supported by fundings of the Freistaat Thüringen (EFRE funds).
